BEML Limited has bagged an order from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) according to a regulatory filing.
BEML in a regulatory filing on Sunday said that it has received a contract’MRS1′ from DMRC for an additional of 12 trainsets of 6 cars each (total 72 cars) for operating on line 2B and 7 of Mumbai metro project and the order is approximately valued at Rs 501 crores. “With this,the total contract value has increased to Rs 4318 crores (approx) from the existing Rs 3817 crores (approx). BEML should supply the order before August 2023,” it said.
At 09:55 am, the stocks of BEML were trading at Rs 669.90 per share on the BSE, 2.21 per cent up from its previous close.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company has also invited ”expression of interest” to manufacture and partnership technologically with reputed global OEMs which are looking to establish and/or expand their manufacturing and supply chain in India.
BEML has controlled its levels of up to 90 per cent in the mainline mining & construction products and rail coaches & EMUs while up to 80 per cent and 65 per cent in high mobility vehicles and Metro cars respectively.
