Zoom has launched automatic updates with the latest features and security fixes to all users for Windows and Mac. Zoom told automatic updates will be available for most consumer users. But, users can configure the updates in General Settings, where there’s a checkbox for ‘Automatically keep my Zoom up to date’.

For the companies, Zoom can be installed on Windows via MSI packages or macOS PKG files, the automatic update setting for end-users is disabled. Zoom also offers monthly feature updates and will release security updates as needed. “This update enhances the existing experience and expands the users to include all individual desktop client users who are not members of an enterprise organisation,” said Clark.
