India’s wholesale inflation for June, 2018 grew to 5.77%, which is at a four-and-half year high.

WPI was 4.43% in May and 0.90% in June 2017. Primary articles, increased 5.3% in June, from 3.16% in May. Vegetables prices raised 8.12% in June, as compared with a growth of 2.51% in May. Prices of pulses have declined at (-)20.23% in June.

Fuel and power inflation, grew at 16.18% in June, from 11.22% in May. Furthermore, petrol prices are up 17.45% in June from 13.90% in May, while diesel prices grew 21.63% in June as compared to 17.34% in May.
