On November 30, technology services and consulting firm Wipro announced that it is an official launch partner for Amazon Web Service (AWS)‘s Amazon Security Lake. AWS, a subsidiary of Amazon, provides an on-demand cloud computing platform and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments.

According to the company release, Amazon Security Lake allows customers to build secure data lakes from the integrated cloud and on-premises data sources as well as their private applications. “It reduces complexity and cost for customers by making their security solutions data accessible to address multiple securities use cases such as threat detection, investigation and incident response,” the statement said.”

Tony Buffomante, senior VP and global head of cyber security and risk services at Wipro, said Amazon Security Lake helps customers optimise their security log data retention by better segmenting data to improve performance and reduce costs. “Cloud security analysts and engineers can now easily build and use a centralised security data lake to improve the security of workloads, applications and data,” he added.

Wipro is working with AWS to aggregate data from various security sources, including Wipro Cloud Application Risk Governance (CARG) – a “single pane of glass” for security threat, risk and compliance visibility in the cloud.

It also builds security use cases for Amazon Security Lake, which will help organisations organise, manage, and derive intelligence and value from log and event data in the cloud and on-premises, giving security teams greater visibility across the organisation.

The release added that with Amazon Security Lake, customers could use their security and analytics solution to query data or extract OCSF-compliant data to address other use cases.
