WhatsApp is reportedly testing a feature that will enable users to contact the human chat support team directly from the web client.
WhatsApp is testing a new “Chat with Us” feature in the app’s Help section, allowing users to directly contact the support team from the web client.
When users click the button, they will be alerted that they will soon receive communication from support via WhatsApp chat. Users will need to provide details about their issue, and after processing, they will get follow-up messages.
Responses may be AI-generated, but users can request human assistance if needed, escalating the query to a human agent if AI cannot resolve the issue.
Currently, smartphone users must go through FAQs before contacting support. The new feature aims to simplify the process, providing quicker support.
The AI-supported chat feature was introduced earlier this year, and human-supported chat is expected in future updates on WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp is also testing a reverse image search feature for the web client, allowing users to upload images to Google to check their authenticity. This feature helps identify fake or misleading photos.
