Private equity company Warburg Pincus sold a 2.49% stake in multiplex-chain corporation PVR worth Rs 380 crore under the open market transactions. Warburg Pincus sold the shares in PVR through its affiliate Berry Creek Investment Limited.

As per the block deal data available with the BSE, Berry Creek Investment sold an aggregate of 24,39,301 shares in three tranches, estimating to 2.49% stake in the company.

The shares were released having an average price of Rs 1,559.35 per share, considering the transaction price at Rs 380.37 crore.

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund (MF), State Bank of India (MF), and Societe Generale – ODI were the purchasers of the shares. Berry Creek Investment owned a 2.49% stake in the company as of February 2023.
