The spokesman for the Taliban’s political office Mohammad Naeem announced that the war was over in Afghanistan and requested peaceful relations with the international community. Naeem said in an interview with Al Jazeera TV that the Taliban did not desire to live in loneliness, and the type of rule and the order of the government will be clear soon.
Naeem further said the Taliban wants peaceful relations with everyone and is ready to make many channels for communication. “We invite all the nations and entities to sit with us to resolve any issues”, he added.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani left the country saying he wants to avoid bloodshed as Taliban fighters showed up on the outskirts of Kabul, and their chiefs demanded transfer of power.
