The S&P BSE utility index is up 0.72 per cent to quote at 3916.18. The index is down 8.02 per cent over September month. Other stocks, such as Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd, increased 2.13 per cent, and Rattanindia Power Ltd added 1.86 per cent on Tuesday. The S&P BSE utility index went up 27.41 per cent over 2021 compared to the 3.6 per cent fall in benchmark SENSEX.
