Among other stocks surge in the volume are Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, New India Assurance Company Ltd, Cochin Shipyard Ltd, and Dhani Services Ltd.

The company’s stock gained 12.59 per cent to Rs.353.60. Volumes stood at 3.94 lakh. Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd registered 11.89 lakh shares, a 15.45 fold spurt over a two-week average daily volume of 76933 shares.

On the other hand, New India Assurance Company Ltd clocked a volume of 59.85 lakh shares, 9.47 times the surge daily average volume of 6.32 lakh shares. The stock of New Assurance Company Ltd gained 7.98 per cent to Rs.98.10. Volumes stood at 12.56 lakh shares.
