Vjaitra Air Mobility has partnered with Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. to develop a hydrogen-powered 5-seater air taxi, marking another step towards introducing air taxis in India.

Indian startup Vjaitra Air Mobility is a division of drone manufacturer Darsh Dronobotics Systems aiming to develop air taxis capable of covering distances up to 600 km, addressing travel needs between crowded metropolitan cities across states.

Through this partnership, Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. will assist the drone manufacturer in securing funds to build a full-scale prototype of the Hydrogen Air Taxi, which is designed to offer an eco-friendly, quieter, and more efficient alternative to traditional travel modes.

Air taxi initiatives are expanding beyond passenger transport to include ambulance services, VIP escort, and disaster recovery operations, with the motives to enhance urban air mobility and emergency response capabilities.

India’s Urban Air Mobility (UAM) project is making progress, with the Aviation Ministry establishing multiple technical committees to assess feasibility and develop policies on this emerging technology.
