On Tuesday, solar energy solutions provider Vikram Solar said it had bagged an order from a US-based company for a 350 MW power project. Reportedly, the order involves supplying solar modules for the project located in Arizona, US.The new order strengthens Vikram Solar’s presence in the US. It is aligned with the company’s commitment to accelerating the clean energy transition in this market.
Vikram Solar’s Vice Chairman and MD Gyanesh Chaudhary said the company is witnessing an increasing demand for high-quality Indian-made modules in the US. He further said that Vikram Solar is focused on further strengthening its market share in the US and catering to utility, commercial, and residential customers.
As per International Energy Agency (IEA), the US has the potential to add up to 20-25 GW of solar energy annually over the next 4-5 years. Based in Kolkata, Vikram Solar specializes in efficient photovoltaic (PV) module production and comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions. It has a presence across 32 countries.
