The Union Budget for 2024 will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23, 2024, at 11 am in the Lok Sabha. It will be broadcast on official Parliament channels, Doordarshan and Sansad TV, and streamed on the government’s official YouTube channels.
The budget documents, which include financial statements, finance bills, and grant requests as specified by the Constitution, will be available in Hindi and English on the Union government’s official web portal, www.indiabudget.gov.in.
The government presented the Interim Budget 2024-25 in February. It aims for ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047 and has lowered the FY25 fiscal deficit target to 5.1% of the GDP. The tax slabs in both old and new regimes remain unchanged.
The full budget presentation was approved by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, on July 6. This will be the first full session of Parliament after the general election results.
