The United Kingdom (UK) will provide essential food supplies worth 2 million pounds to Ukraine, the UK Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “The UK will provide £2 million in essential food supplies for areas of Ukraine attacked by Russian forces, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said today,” the statement read.

According to the Ministry, it is estimated that over 12 million people are currently in need of humanitarian aid in Ukraine. “Warehouses in Poland and Slovakia are ready to supply these goods to the government of Ukraine from the next week. Around 25 truckloads will be transported by road and rail to the local Ukrainian communities,” the statement added.
