United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a travel ban on unvaccinated residents from 10th January with a condition to get the booster dose for the fully vaccinated. “Travel ban on UAE locals who are still haven’t been vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine, starting from Jan 10, 2022, with a requirement to take the booster dose for the fully vaccinated,” UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) said on Twitter.
But, the authority has also told that this won’t be applicable for those medically not permitted to take the vaccine, humanitarian and treatment cases. This announcement comes as Omicron infections are increasing in many countries and have flooded the hospitalisations in the US and Europe.
