The Trump administration has halted military aid to Ukraine after a tense exchange between Trump and Zelenskyy. Trump warned that Zelenskyy “won’t be around very long” if a peace deal with Russia is not reached.
He criticised Zelenskyy for suggesting the war could last long and urged him to be more appreciative of US military aid.
Trump claimed the US provided far more aid to Ukraine than Europe and called for a smarter approach to support.
He expressed concern over the rising death toll, stating that 2,700 soldiers from Ukraine and Russia were killed last week.
Earlier, Zelenskyy said he was willing to step down as president in exchange for peace and NATO membership for Ukraine.
