Other constituents of the index Bharti Airtel Ltd added 0.49%, and GTL Infrastructure Ltd increased by 0.83%. The S&P BSE Telecommunication index fell 2.54 % in 2021 compared to the 4.88% surge in benchmark Sensex.

On December 26, the stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 78.8.
