In August, Tata Steel Ltd added 0.52 per cent against a 2.02 per cent gain in the S&P BSE Metal index and a 0.03 per cent drop in the SENSEX.
On Friday, Tata Steel Ltd rose 3.33 per cent to trade at Rs 107.1. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.09 per cent to quote at 19149.16. The index is up 2.02 per cent in August month. Among the other stocks, Vedanta Ltd increased 0.73 per cent, and NMDC Ltd added 0.69 per cent. The S&P, BSE Metal index went down 5.34 per cent in 2021 compared to the 1.37 per cent fall in benchmark SENSEX.

On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 12.32 lakh shares were traded compared to daily average volumes of 47.1 lakh in August. The stock of Tata Steel Ltd hit a record high of Rs 142.62 on 19 October 2021. On 23 June 2022, the stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 82.71.
On 1 August 2022, Tata Steel Ltd added 27.22 per cent in June 2022, compared to an 18.58 per cent gain in the S&P BSE Metal index and a 9.21 per cent rise in the SENSEX. Tata Steel Ltd hit a high at 3.2 per cent to trade at Rs 111.1.
However, the S&P BSE Metal index rose 1.78 per cent. In June, the index was up 18.58 per cent. Other stocks APL Apollo Tubes Ltd grew by 2.71 per cent, and Hindalco Industries Ltd added 2.2 per cent.
In July, Tata Steel Ltd added 27.22 per cent as compared to an 18.58 per cent gain in the S&P BSE Metal index and a 9.21 per cent rise in the SENSEX. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 14.94 lakh shares were traded compared to daily average volumes of 14.43 lakh in July. On 16 August, the stock hit a record high of Rs 153.46; on 23 June 2022, Tata Steel shares hit a 52-week low of Rs 82.71.
