Tata Power Renewable Energy which is a renewable energy subsidiary of Tata Power Company, has commissioned its 100 mw wind farm project at Nimbagallu in Andhra Pradesh.
In December 2016, the company had commissioned 36 mw at the wind farm and has started now the generation from the rest 64 mw.
Tata Power operational renewable energy portfolio stands at 1,959 mw with this commissioning that includes wins (907 mw), solar power (932 mw) and waste heat recovery capacity(120mw).
Rahul Shah, chief executive officer and executive director, Tata Power Renewable Energy has said that “We are also developing another 100 MW solar plant at Anantapur Solar Park in Andhra Pradesh. With this commissioning, TPREL continues to fortify its position of being the largest renewable energy company in the country. We continue to seek potential areas in India and in select international markets through organic and inorganic opportunities.”
