Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (TCPL) has merged its three wholly-owned subsidiaries following approvals from NCLT and other regulatory bodies. The subsidiaries Tata Consumer Soulfull Pvt. Ltd., NourishCo Beverages Ltd., and Tata SmartFoodz Ltd. have now been integrated with TCPL.
The company has complied with the conditions in Clause 17 of the scheme, which include filing certified copies of the order of merger with the Registrar of Companies. The effective date of merger shall be 1st September, 2024.
The merger aligns with the company’s goal to simplify and streamline its business, aiming to unlock efficiencies and synergies.
There will be no change in the operating structure of the merged business units, which will continue to focus on millet-based products, ready-to-drink products, and ready-to-cook/ready-to-eat products. These areas are key growth sectors for Tata Consumer Products.
TCPL’s product portfolio includes tea, coffee, water, ready-to-drink beverages, salt, pulses, spices, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat items, breakfast cereals, snacks, and mini meals. The company, with a consolidated turnover of Rs 15,206 crore, owns major beverage brands such as Tata Tea, Tetley, Organic India, Eight O’Clock Coffee, Tata Coffee Grand, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, Tata Copper+, and Tata Gluco+.
