Tata Communications has said that its board has elected private equity veteran Renuka Ramnath as the new chairperson.

Renuka Ramnath has said in a statement that “I feel honored and privilaged to chair the Tata Communications Board in these exciting times where technology plays such a critical part in defining new business imperatives for enterprises, irrespective of scale or geography.”

Since December 2014, Ramnath has been an independent director of the Tata Communications board.
