Online food delivery platform Swiggy said it had acquired retail distribution company Lynk Logistics Ltd to enter the massive retail market. Both companies have not yet disclosed the sum, but Lynk will continue to operate as an independent business post-acquisition.

Lynk was founded by Abinav Raja and Bhende in 2015, one of India’s largest tech-driven FMCG retail distribution companies.

The acquisition will assist Swiggy in entering into the vast retail market with a technology-led distribution platform.

Sriharsha Majety, CEO of Swiggy, said, “Lynk is uniquely positioned in the retail distribution space with their brand-first, tech-led operating model and has demonstrated success with multiple FMCG brands,”.

Swiggy’s experience in supply chain and logistics gives Swiggy the unique opportunity to help Lynk scale and empower retailers to serve their customers better.

Lynk uses a proprietary integrated technology platform to power their entire distribution value chain across warehousing, inventory management and logistics operations. The company is building a full-stack FMCG retail distribution platform.
