Swiggy has extended its 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, to more than 400 cities across India. Initially launched in October in major cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai, the service aims to offer faster food delivery nationwide.
Swiggy’s Bolt service is now available in over 400 cities, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Indore, and Kochi, as well as tier-2 and tier-3 cities like Roorkee, Guntur, Patna, and Shillong.
Cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana show the highest adoption, followed by Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Punjab.
Restaurants like KFC, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Baskin Robbins, and Eatfit are now available on Bolt.
The expansion comes as competitors like Zepto and Swish focus on scaling their quick food delivery services.
Zomato had tested a 10-minute delivery service in 2022 but discontinued it, launching Zomato every day instead.
Zomato delivers home-cooked meals from central kitchens every day with faster timelines.
Swiggy reported a gross order value (GOV) of Rs 6,808 crore in the June 2024 quarter, up from Rs 5,959 crore in the same period last year.
Swiggy had 14.03 million monthly transacting customers between April and June 2024.
