Suzlon Energy announced on 24 August that the company has secured an for the development of a 31.5 megawatts (MW) wind energy project for Integrum Energy Infrastructure Private Ltd.
Suzlon Energy has not yet disclosed the value of the order.
The company will execute the project with the scope to supply, install, and commission the project and added the company would offer post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.
The company will install 15 units of S120140m WTGs (wind turbine generators) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 megawatts each in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
According to J P Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, the project will be commissioned in May 2024.
In his statement, he added that the company is excited to announce its second order with interim Energy infrastructure, and the power generated from this project will be used for captive consumption, creating a deeper penetration of renewable energy in India.
Anand Lahoti, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Integrum Energy Infrastructure, said Suzlon’s ‘made-in-India’ products “complement our ideology of supporting ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat'”.
An energy project of this size can provide electricity to 20,000 households and curb 0.81 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
