Suzlon Energy Shares Rally 4% on Securing 551 MW Order

This project has the potential to power about 4.54 lakh households.

Shares of Suzlon Energy Ltd rallied 4% on 29 May after the company secured a new 551 megawatt (MW) order from Aditya Birla Group for its 3MW Wind Turbine series.

The request is to be fulfilled at two different sites. Suzlon is set to build the first 368.55 MW in the Rajasthani district of Barmer, while the Bhuj district in Gujarat will handle the final 182.7 MW. The Aditya Birla Group would use the electricity generated by these plants for internal consumption.

This project has the potential to power about 4.54 lakh households and cut annual carbon dioxide emissions by 17.92 lakh tons.

An advanced hybrid lattice tube tower will be used to erect the wind turbine generators, each of which has a rated power of 3.15 MW. Also included in this purchase are the larger S144-140m turbines from the business’s 3 MW series.

In Gujarat, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines and supervise their commissioning; in Rajasthan, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines and supervise the project’s execution, including its erection and commissioning.

Once these projects are operational, the company will also offer maintenance and operations services.

JP Chalasani of the Suzlon Group said, “This order will enable us to further strengthen our presence in Rajasthan and Gujarat while helping the states unlock their true wind energy potential.”

Earlier last week, the company secured a 402 MW order with Juniper Green Energy, which is the first order Suzlon received in two months.

At 1:39 pm, the shares of Suzlon Energy were trading 4.89% higher at Rs 46.10 on NSE.
