Suzlon Energy Shares Gain 4% on Securing a 50.4 MW Wind Power Project

The new order has increased the firm's cumulative order book to nearly 5.4 GW.

Shares of Suzlon Energy were trading 4% higher on 27 October after the company announced winning a wind power project order.

In its exchange filing, the company said that they had received an order for their 3 megawatts (MW) series turbines from Juniper Green Energy Private Limited for the development of a 50.4 MW wind power project.

The company will install 16 wind turbine generators and a hybrid Lattice Tubular tower of their new product that has a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each.

The project is located in Dwarka, Gujarat and is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

The order includes that the company will supply the wind turbines and execute the project, including the erection and commissioning. Moreover, as part of the agreement, the company will also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.

JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, said, “We are delighted to announce our second order with Juniper Green Energy Private Limited in a short period of time for our 3 MW series. Juniper Green Energy is a committed renewable energy independent power producer (IPP) player in India with comprehensive wind, solar and hybrid power projects. We are honoured that they have partnered with us again for their wind energy project.”

He added that the company is committed to serving its customers and the nation with its proven technology, extensive experience, and service excellence in India. The company is also looking forward to its partnership with Juniper Green Energy in its journey towards a greener India.

At 3:30 pm, the share of Suzlon Energy closed 3.03% above at Rs 32.35 on NSE.
