The GIFT Nifty futures were trading in the green before the market’s opening on Friday. Indices are expected to open on a similar positive note.
Domestic benchmark indices, NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex, settled higher after a highly volatile session on Friday. Nifty ended 104.9 points or 0.5% higher at 21,255.05, while Sensex settled at 70,865.1, up 0.51% or 358.79 points.

Life Insurance Company (LIC): The Department of Economic Affairs granted the public life insurer a one-time exemption from the 25% minimum public shareholding rule. LIC has received an extension of 10 years from its listing date till May 2032.
Allcargo Logistics, Allcargo Gati: The boards of both companies have approved a scheme of arrangement for restructuring businesses under Allcargo Limited and Allcargo Gati Limited (Formerly Gati Limited). Further, Allcargo Gati approved raising Rs 500 crore through various instruments.
Lupin: The drug maker launched Softovac Liquifibre, a 100% Ayurvedic liquid laxative.
MOIL: The manganese ore mining company surpassed a remarkable 16 lakh metric tonnes of production capacity in 2023, up 26% against the previous high in 2019.
GMR Airports Infrastructure: The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) will invest up to Rs 675 crore in a GMR Airports Infrastructure subsidiary, GMR Airports, for the development of its upcoming greenfield airport in Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh.
Railtel Corp: The railway public sector undertaking has won a new order worth Rs 66.8 crore from NF Railway Construction.
Tata Motors, Tata Motors DVR: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have approved the cancellation of ‘A’ ordinary shares (DVR) and allotment of ordinary shares.
Zomato: Zomato has denied reports claiming that the aggregator and food delivery company is looking to acquire logistics aggregator Shiprocket for $2 billion.
