Stocks in Focus: Wipro, Hindustan Zinc, GAIL (India), TCS, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures traded lower by 134 points or 0.60% at 22,129. The domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Friday amid negative signals from the global market.

On Thursday, 14 March, Domestic benchmark indices recovered some of their losses in a market-wide sell-off from Wednesday. The S&P BSE Sensex gained 335.4 points, or 0.5%, to end at 73,097.3, while the Nifty50 gained 149 points, or 0.7%, and settled at 22,146.7. 

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 15 March.

Paytm (One97 Communications): The National Payments Corporation of India has given Paytm’s parent company to become a third-party UPI app. 

Hindustan Zinc: The company’s proposal to demerge the company into three separate entities is likely to face challenges as it will be difficult to gain shareholders approval. 

Gail (India): The company is planning to enter into the retail of LNG (liquified natural gas) with an aim to increase the use of LNG for using LNG as a transportation fuel and is planning to invest Rs 650 crore. 

Wipro: The company has been selected by Desjardins to transform their credit solutions for its clients and members. 

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): The IT major has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Nuuday, Denmark, for implementing a complex cloud transformation. Nuuday is Denmark’s leading digital connectivity and communications provider.

Navin Fluorine International: The board of directors of the company has approved an additional investment of Rs 250 crore in its subsidiary, Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences.

Shakti Pumps: Shakti Pumps has bagged a Rs 92 crore order from the Maharashtra, Haryana, and Rajasthan governments. 

Railtel Corporation: The company has secured an order from Odisha Computer Application Centre worth Rs 113.46 crore. 

Bharat Electronics: The company has entered into a contract with Larsen and Toubro to supply 14 cutting-edge Communication and Electronic Warfare sensors and systems for a total consideration of Rs 847.70 crore.
