The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.11% higher by 26.50 points at 24,370 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Tuesday.
On Monday, 12 August, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped 57 points or 0.07%, to end at 79,648.92, while the Nifty50 traded 20.50 points or 0.08% lower and settled at 24,347.

Quarterly Results Today: Allied Blenders and Distillers, Allcargo Logistics, Anupam Rasayan India, Eclerx Services, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Endurance Technologies, Hero MotoCorp, Hindalco Industries, FSN E-Commerce Ventures Nykaa, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Ashoka Buildcon, Dilip Buildcon, Godrej Industries, HEG, Ipca Laboratories, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, Samvardhana Motherson International, MTAR Technologies, Muthoot Finance, Manappuram Finance, Medi Assist Healthcare Services, Max Financial Services, Nazara Technologies, NBCC India, Piramal Enterprises, and SJVN are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for April-June.
Vodafone Idea: In its quarterly report for the quarter ended 30 June, the company reported that its net loss narrowed to Rs 6,432 crore from Rs 7,674 crore net loss reported in the same quarter last year, due to reduced expenses, especially the finance costs.
ONGC: The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has granted permission for gas produced from new wells or well interventions in the nominated fields of state-run companies like ONGC and Oil India to be sold at a 20% premium over the standard Administered Price Mechanism (APM) or domestic natural gas price.
Power Grid Corporation of India: The company has announced that it is securing a transmission project in Rajasthan under tariff-based competitive bidding.
Berger Paints: Abhijit Roy, Managing Director and CEO of Berger Paints India, expressed confidence on Monday that the company is not concerned about Birla Opus’s market entry. Berger Paints, the second-largest paint company in India, aims to double its standalone revenue from Rs 10,000 crore in FY24 to Rs 20,000 crore by FY29.
Wipro: The company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Subha Tatavarti has resigned from her position to pursue opportunities outside of the IT company.
VA Tech Wabag: The pure-play water technology company, VA Tech Wabag, has announced that it is securing an order worth Rs 415 crore from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB).
JSW Steel: The company has announced its plans to acquire a controlling stake in M Res NSW HCC Pty Ltd, an Australian miner, for a total consideration of $170 million.
Hindustan Copper: In its quarterly earnings for April-June, the company reported a more than two-fold increase in net profit to Rs 113.40 crore for the quarter compared to Rs 47.28 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
