Stocks in Focus: Vedanta, PB Fintech, Vodafone Idea, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading 0.05% higher by 11 points at 22,460, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Friday.  

On Thursday, 16 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex surged 676.69 points, or 0.93%, to end at 73,663.72, while the Nifty50 traded 203.30 points, or 0.92%, higher and settled at 22,403.85.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 17 May.

Vedanta: The company has announced its first interim dividend of Rs 11 per share for the fiscal year 2025 and has set 25 May 2024 as the record date for the dividend payout. 

PB Fintech: The company’s promoter is planning to acquire a 1.86% stake in the company via a block deal. The floor price has been set at Rs 1,258 per share, bringing the deal value to Rs 1,053 crore.

Vodafone Idea: The telecom major’s net loss widened to Rs 7,674.6 crore for the quarter ending on 31 March 2024 from Rs 6,419 crore net loss reported in the same quarter last year. 

Concor: In its quarterly report for January-March, the navratna company reported a 10% year-on-year increase to Rs 301.25 crore for the quarter from Rs 274.14 crore reported in the same quarter last year.

Biocon: The company reported a 56.77% YoY increase in net profit for Q4FY24 to Rs 135.5 crore from Rs 313.2 crore reported in Q4FY23.

Triveni Turbine: The company’s net profit stood at Rs 75.6 crore for Q4FY24, marking a 36.2% YoY increase from Rs 55.5 crore reported in Q4FY23.
