Stocks in Focus: Torrent Pharma, Nestle India, Sobha, Whirlpool, and Others

The mid-cap and small-cap indices performed well with respective rises of 0.8% and 1.1%.

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.35% higher by 82.50 points at 23,451.50, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Thursday. 

On Wednesday, 12 June, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained 149.98 points, or 0.20%, to end at 76,606.57, while the Nifty50 traded 58.10 points or 0.25% higher and settled at 23,322.95.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 13 June.

Torrent Pharma: The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) conducted a pre-approval inspection and a GMP inspection at the company’s Indrad facility from 3 June to 12 June 2024 and concluded the inspection by issuing a Form 483 with five observations. 

Nestle India: The FMCG major announced that it will continue to pay royalties to its parent company at the current rate of .5% of net sales, which came after the shareholders of the company rejected the proposal to increase the rate. 

Whirlpool: The company has entered into a new marketing alliance with Hindustan Unilever for Surf Excel, which is Hindustan Unilever’s laundry brand. 

Sobha: The company has announced its plans to raise Rs 2,000 crore through a right issue, issuing 1.21 crore rights shares on a partly-paid basis. 

L&T Finance: Bain Capital through its affiliates BC Asia Growth Investment and BC Asia Investment VI is looking to divest 3.54% stake in the company at an average price of Rs 169.17 per share. 

Dr Reddy’s Lab: The company announced that its step-down wholly-owned subsidiary, Dr Reddy’s USA, has entered into a licence agreement with Ingenus Pharma to obtain exclusive rights to commercialise Cyclophosphamide Injection RTD from Ingenus.

Exide Industries: The company has increased its investment in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions, by investing Rs 75 crore in equity share capital through a rights issue.

Gensol Engineering: The company has announced emerging as the lowest bidder for a 250 megawatt/ 500  megawatt hour battery energy storage system tender that was issues by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.
