The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading flat at 24,891 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Monday.
On Friday, 18 October, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex jumped 218.14 points or 0.27% to end at 81,224.75 while the Nifty50 traded 104.20 points higher or 0.42% and settled at 24,854.05.

Tech Mahindra: In its quarterly earnings for July-September, the company reported a more than two-fold increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,250 crore, which was driven by special income from the sale of assets.
JSW Steel: In its regulatory filing, the company announced that a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW JFE Electrical Steel Private Ltd, Jsquare Electrical Steel Nashik Private Ltd, has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% equity stake in Thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India Private Ltd.
HDFC Bank: India’s biggest private sector bank has reported a 6% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 17,825.91 crore for Q2FY25. The bank’s net interest income increased 10% YoY to Rs 30,010 crore.
Godrej Properties: The company has announced acquiring a 3-acre land parcel in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad that has a development potential of 0.9 million square feet of saleable area. On the basis of current business projects, the estimated booking value of the project is estimated around Rs 1,300 crore.
Alembic Pharma: The company has announced receiving final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Diltiazem Hydrochloride extended-release capsules USP, available in 120 mg, 180 mg, and 240 mg strengths.
Garden Reach Shipbuilders: The company has announced receiving a Letter of Intent from the Ministry of Defence for a contract worth Rs 491 crore. As a part of the contract, the company will design, development, construction, and integration of equipment of an Acoustic Research Ship.
VA Tech Wabag: iShares Global Water UCITS ETF has picked up 1.03% stake in the company for an average price of Rs 1,875.14 per share, taking the total investment value to Rs 120.2 crore.
RBL Bank: The company reported a 24% YoY decline in its net profit for the quarter ended 30 September to Rs 223 crore, whereas the net interest income of the company during the quarter grew by 9% YoY to Rs 1,625 crore.
JM Financials: The company announced that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has lifted restrictions on JM Financial Products, which is a material subsidiary of the company, effective immediately.
ICICI Lombard: The net profit of the company during the July-September quarter stood at Rs 694 crore, marking a 20.2% YoY increase, which was driven by a 10.4% YoY increase in Gross Direct Premium Income that stood at Rs 6,721 crore.
