Stocks in Focus: TCS, Adani Wilmar, Aditya Birla Fashion, Nazara Technologies, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.21% Higher by 52 points at 24,458 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Friday.

On Thursday, 11 July, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped 27.43 points or 0.03%, to end at 79,897.35, while the Nifty50 traded 8.50 points or 0.03% lower and settled at 24,315.95.

Here are some stocks that will likely remain in focus on 12 July.

Quarterly Results Today: HCL Technologies, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, Golkonda Aluminium Extrusions, Indo Cotspin, Infomedia Press, Atharv Enterprises, Betala Global Securities, Gautam Gems, Teamo Productions HQ, Vipul, JIK Industries, Oriental Hotels, and Setco Automotive are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for April-June.

Tata Consultancy Services: In the Q1 earnings report, the company reported an 8.7% YoY increase in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 12,040 crore, and a 5.4% YoY increase in revenue, reaching Rs 62,613 crore during the quarter under review. 

Nazara Technologies: A subsidiary of the company, Nodwin Singapore, has acquired an additional 43.5% stake in Freaks 4U Gaming for Euro 23.45 million, making it a step-down subsidiary. 

Aditya Birla Fashion: The company has increased its stake in Goodview Fashion Pvt. Ltd from 33.5% to 51% for a total consideration of Rs 127 crore. 

Adani Wilmar: The company has acquired a 67% stake in Omkar Chemical Industries Private (OCIPL). OCIPL manufactures various types of chemicals and compounds at its plant in Panoli, Gujrat, which has an annual capacity of around 20,000 metric tonnes of surfactants. 

Vodafone Idea: The company’s shareholders have approved issuing preferential shares to Nokia and Ericsson during the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

Oriental Rail: Oriental Foundry Private Ltd, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, has received an order worth Rs 432.16 crore from Indian Railways.  

RCF: The company’s Board of Directors have approved a Rs 514.6 crore contract with Topsoe for revamping its ammonia plant at RCF Thal. The scope of the contract includes the procurement of a basic engineering design package aligned with the supply of proprietary equipment and catalysts to reduce specific energy consumption.

GTPL Hathway: In its quarterly earnings for April-June, the company reported a 57.4% year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 14.99 crore from Rs 35.2 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
