Stocks in Focus: Praj Industries, Kalyan Jewellers, RVNL, Biocon, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading 0.38% higher by 89 points at 23,556, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Tuesday. 

On Monday, 3 June, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex skyrocketed 2,507.47 points, or 3.39%, to end at 76,469 while the Nifty50 traded 733 points or 3.25% higher and settled at 23,263.90.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 4 June.

Praj Industries: The company has opened an account in Brazil, the ethanol capital of the world. It has also signed up for one more contract for an ethanol plant with a global renewable company in Brazil.

NTPC: NTPC’s proposal to the power ministry to pool its entire capacity for sale to distribution companies stems from the need to optimise the cost of power due to the high capital costs of the new thermal capacity it adds for the end consumer.

Rail Vikas Nigam: The company has announced receiving an order for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) from South Central Railway worth Rs 440 crore.

Biocon: The pharma major said that the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has approved the company’s injectable drug product, Micafungin (50mg and 100mg vials). Micafungin is an antifungal medication used to treat yeast or fungal infections. 

Kalyan Jewellers: The company has acquired a 15% stake in Candere from Rupesh Jain for a total consideration of Rs 42 crore. 

Zee Entertainment Enterprises: The company announced that the Board of Directors are set to meet on 6 June to consider and approve raising funds through the issuance of equity shares and/or any the eligible securities. 

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: The company’s subsidiary, Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services has inaugurated its biologics facility in Hyderabad that offers process development and clinical scale manufacturing capabilities. 

Wipro: The company has appointed Bruno Schenk as Country Head and Managing Director for Switzerland.
