The GIFT Nifty futures were trading in the green before the market’s opening on Monday. Domestic Indices are expected to open on a similar positive note.
Domestic equity indices, NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex ended lower on Friday, tracking weak global sentiments. Sensex shed 0.35% or 231.62 points to settle at 65,397.62, while the Nifty fell 82.05 points or 0.42% to 19,542.65.
Here are some stocks likely to remain in focus on October 23.
IDBI Bank: IDBI Bank recorded a 59.8% growth in net profit at Rs 1,323.3 crore in the September quarter of the current fiscal year from Rs 828.1 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year. Sequentially, the net profit was up 8% from Rs 1,224.2 crore in Q1FY24.
Kotak Mahindra Bank: The private bank has recorded a net profit of Rs 4,461 crore in the second quarter of fiscal year 2023-24 (Q2FY24), which is 24% higher as compared to the profit reported in the year-ago period. Additionally, former Citigroup Asia Pacific and Barclays CEO Ashok Vaswani was announced as the next CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank following Uday Kotak’s resignation as CEO.
One97 Communications (Paytm): The digital payments firm posted a 32% year-on-year growth in its second quarter consolidated revenue to Rs 2,519 crore. Paytm also reported a net loss of Rs 291 crore, which was 49% less than the Rs 571 crore loss the company reported in the same quarter last year.
Samvardhana Motherson International: The company has announced a series of acquisitions worth more than Rs 380 crore in the aerospace, health, and medical industries. These include acquiring a 73.05% stake in medical imaging systems manufacturer Irillic Pvt for Rs 46.60 crore, acquisition of aerospace defence and security firm SMAST for a consideration of Rs 21.9 crore and acquisition of a 100% stake in SSCP Aero Topco SAS.
RBL Bank: RBL Bank reported a 46% growth in its FY24 July-September quarter net profit at Rs 294 crore from Rs 202 crore during the same quarter last fiscal. The revenue of the bank grew 24% YoY to Rs 2,179 crore, while its core net interest income (NII) of the bank grew 26% YoY to Rs 1,475 crore, driven by a 21% rise in advances.
