The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.16% higher by 41 points at 25,433 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Monday.

On Friday, 30 August, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained 231.17 points or 0.28%, to end at 82,365.78 while the Nifty50 traded 83.95 points or 0.33% higher and settled at 25,235.90.

NBCC India: The Board of Directors of the company has approved a bonus issue, offering one bonus share to shareholders for every two shares held. The board has set 7 October as the record date for the bonus issue. 

Siemens: The company secured a tax demand order worth Rs 29.4 crore from the Deputy Commissioner of Income-tax and taking the total amount of he ongoing litigations and disputes with the Deputy Commissioner of Income-tax to Rs 77.5 crore.

Tata Motors: Tata Motors reported a 8% YoY decline in total sales for August 2024 to 71,693 units sold compared to 78,010 units recorded in August 2023.

GPT Infraprojects: The company has been declared as the Lowest bidder (L1) for a Rs 204 crore project for constructing a road over bridge between Andul-Sankrail and Nalpur-Bauria stations from CAO Construction, South Eastern Railway. 

Maruti Suzuki India: In its total sales for August 2024, the company reported a 4% YoY decline to 1,81,782 units from 1,89,082 units reported in the same month during the previous year. 

TVS Motors: The company reported a 13% year-on-year increase in total sales for August 2024 to 3,91,588 units against 3,45,848 units sold in August 2023. 

Oil India: The company has announced signing a hook-up agreement with Dhanush Gas Grid to connect the company’s natural gas fields in Upper Assam with the Duliajan Feeder Line of the North-East Gas Grid.
