The GIFT Nifty futures were trading in the green before the market’s opening on Tuesday. Indices are expected to open on a similar positive note.
Domestic benchmark indices NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex closed lower on Monday, led by losses in banking and financial heavyweights, amid mixed global cues. Nifty ended 166.45 points or 0.76% lower at 21,616.05, while Sensex lost 523 points or 0.73% to end at 71,072.49.

One 97 Communications (Paytm): On Monday, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das said there was “hardly any room” to review the central bank’s action against Paytm Payments Bank, stating that the decision was taken after a comprehensive assessment of the firm’s operations.
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL): The railways company emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 106 crore contract from Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Ltd for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new 11 KV line for bifurcation and interconnection.
Lemon Tree Hotels: The hospitality company inked a license agreement for a new 50-room hotel in Marpalle, Telangana. The new hotel will be spread over 5 acres and is expected to be operational in FY27.
Life Insurance Corporation, SBI Cards: The insurance company has acquired another 3,01,084 equity shares in SBI Cards & Payments Services, increasing its shareholding from 4.99% to 5.02%.
JSW Energy: The utilities company’s subsidiary received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for 500 MW wind capacity from Solar Energy Corp. JSW Energy also clarified to the exchanges that it had no investment plans in Odisha for EV and battery plants.
