Stocks in Focus: J&K Bank, IRFC, Adani Green Energy, Vodafone Idea, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.17% higher by 40 points at 23,304, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Wednesday. 

On Tuesday, 14 January, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained 169.62 points or 0.22% and settled at 76,499.63, while the Nifty50 traded gained 90 points or 0.39%, settling at 23,176.05.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 15 January.

Quarterly Results Today: CEAT, Bank of Maharashtra, Punjab & Sind Bank, HDFC Life Insurance Company, L&T Technology Services, Oracle Financial Services Software, Mahindra EPC Irrigation, Reliance Industrial Infrastructure, TCI Industries, Oriental Hotels, NELCO, Transrail Lighting, and Aeroflex are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for October-December. 

J&K Bank: The company has received a warning letter from the Securities Exchange Board of India for non-compliance with regard to the disclosure of the appointment of its MD & CEO. 

Vodafone Idea: The company has announced partnering up with HCL Software to make its 5G and 4G more efficient. The company uses HCL Augmented Network Automation, which is a multi-vendor self-optimising network platform. 

Adani Green Energy: The company’s step-down subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Limited, has announced that it has successfully commissioned a 57.2 megawatt (MW) wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project in Khavda, Gujarat. 

IRFC: The company has announced that it is emerging as the lowest bidder to finance Rs 3,167 crore for developing the Banhardih coal block in Latehar District, Jharkhand. The project will be undertaken by a Joint Venture between NTPC and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam, Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. 

Premier Energies: The company announced that its subsidiaries, Premier Energies International, Premier Energies Global Environment, and Premier Energies Photovoltaic, have secured orders worth Rs 1,460 crore. 

Glenmark Life Sciences: The company has announced that it will change its name to Alivus Life Sciences Limited, effective 20 January.  

Optiemus Infracom: The company has announced partnering up with Taiwan-based Kunway Technology to increase drone manufacturing in India. The company will manufacture, sell and localise some of the shortlisted products for the Indian market. 

Shoppers Stop: In its quarterly earnings for October-December, the company reported a 41.74% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 52.33 crore for the quarter under review compared to Rs 36.85 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
