Stocks in Focus: Hindustan Unilever Limited, Unichem Laboratories, Angel One, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.14% lower by 34.50 points at 24,620, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Tuesday. 

On Monday, 15 July, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained 145 points or 0.18%, to end at 80,665, while the Nifty50 traded 85 points or 0.35% higher and settled at 24,587.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 16 July.

Quarterly Results Today: Century Textiles & Industries, CRISIL, TV18 Broadcast, Bajaj Auto, L&T Finance, Aditya Birla Money, Alok Industries, Eimco Elecon, Himadri Speciality Chemical, International Travel House, Agro Tech Foods, DB Corp, Dee Development Engineers, Sofcom, Jubilant Ingrevia, and Just Dial are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for April-June.

Hindustan Unilever Limited: HUL signed an agreement for the sale of its Pureit water purification business in India to A O Smith India Water Products for a total consideration of Rs 601 crore ($72 million) on a slump sale basis. 

Unichem Laboratories: The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) conducted an inspection at the company’s formulation facility in Goa between 8 July and 15 July 2024 and concluded the inspection with five observations. 

Angel One: In its quarterly earnings for April-June, the company reported a 32.6% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 293 crore due to the increasing trading activities. 

Zee Entertainment: The shareholders of the company have approved the plans to raise Rs 2,000 crore via share sale. 

Zomato: The CEO of the company, Deepinder Goyal has joined the billionaire club. Goyal holds 369.5 million shares, representing a 4.19% stake in the company, which are now valued at Rs 8,465 crore (around $1.1 billion).

Jio Financial Services: in its Q1FY25 quarterly earnings, the company reported a marginal increase in net profit to Rs 312.63 crore from Rs 310.63 crore reported in Q4FY24. 

HDFC Life: The net profit of the company during the April-June quarter stood at Rs 478.97 crore, marking a 14.9% YoY increase against Rs 416.71 crore reported in the same quarter last year. 

Balkrishna Industries: The company has successfully commissioned a mould manufacturing plant at its Bhuj unit for a total capital expenditure of Rs 300 crore.

Lemon Tree Hotels: The company has launched a 42-room hotel in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

Lupin: The company has divested its US Commercial Women’s Health Speciality business to Evofem Biosciences Inc for a total consideration of $84 million with an aim to commercialise SOLOSEC (secnidazole) 2g oral granules.
