Stocks in Focus: Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Prudential Life, Bajaj Finance, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.14% lower by 34.50 points at 24,426.50, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, 24 July, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped 73.04 points or 0.09%, to end at 80,429.04 while the Nifty50 traded 30.20 points or 0.12% lower, and settled at 24,479.05.

Quarterly Results Today: Bajaj Finserv, Federal Bank, Petronet LNG, Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank, SBI Life Insurance Company, Jindal Steel & Power, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, Aurionpro Solutions, Bikaji Foods International, HFCL, Indian Energy Exchange, Indraprastha Gas, JK Paper, CG Power and Industrial Solutions, CMS Info Systems, DCB Bank, KPIT Technologies, Karnataka Bank, SIS, Sona BLW Precision Forgings, Oracle Financial Services Software, Hitachi Energy India, Ramkrishna Forgings, V-Guard Industries, Welspun Living, Syngene International, Trident, and Tata Teleservices are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for January-March.

Hindustan Unilever: In its quarterly earnings for April-June, the company reported a 2.2% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,612 crore during the quarter from Rs 2,556 crore recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance: During the quarterly earning for Q1, the company reported a 9% YoY increase in net profit to Rs 224.34 crore against the Rs 206.19 crore reported in Q1FY24.

Bajaj Finance: The country’s largest non-bank lender announced a net profit of Rs 3,912 crore during Q1FY25, and its Net Interest Income (NII) during the quarter stood at 8,365 crore. 

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: The Board of Directors of the company are set to meet on 27 July to concede a proposal of sub-division of equity shares, including the American Depositary Shares. 

Bajel Projects: THe company announced securing contracts from PowerGrid Corporation of India for supplying goods and services related to transmission line package for a total consideration of Rs 586.28 crore. 

Titagarh Rail Systems: The company has begun the export of traction converters, with the first batch of 8 units shipped to Titagarh Firema SpA in Italy, which is a part of Rs 65 crore order it has received from Titagarh Firema. 

Tata Consumer Products: The company has announced its plans for a rights issue to raise Rs 3,000 crore. 

Suven Pharmaceuticals: The pharma major has received an observation letter with ‘no adverse observations’ from the BSE in relation to the Scheme of Amalgamation.
