The GIFT Nifty futures were trading in the green before the market’s opening on Thursday. Indices are expected to open on a similar positive note.
Domestic equity indices, NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex continued their losing streak for the second straight session and settled lower on Wednesday. Nifty declined to 18,989.15, falling 90.45 points or 0.47%, while Sensex tumbled 283.60 points or 0.44% to 63,591.33.

Britannia Industries: The biscuit maker reported a 19.55% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 586.50 crore in September 2023 due to softening commodity prices, as against the Rs 490.58 crore profit during the same period last year.
BPCL, GAIL: State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation and GAIL (India) have inked an agreement to supply kilotonne per annum propane to GAIL’s upcoming PDH-PP (Propane Dehydrogenation and Polypropylene) Plant project in Usar, Maharashtra for 15 years at an estimated contract value of Rs 63,000 crore.
JK Tyre: The tyre manufacturer reported a nearly five-fold surge in its consolidated net profit for the July-September period after posting strong performance on all parameters. The company’s revenue rose 3.8% to Rs 3,897.5 crore, and its margins expanded to 15.12% from 7.9% in the corresponding period last year.
Tata Steel: The steel maker posted a net loss of Rs 6,196 crore on a consolidated basis for the July-September quarter as compared to a net profit of Rs 1,514.42 crore in the same quarter in the year-ago period, over the weak performance of its European operations and impairment charges and restructuring costs due to the proposed transition in the UK.
