Stocks in Focus: Bharat Electronics, UltraTech Cement, BEML, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.02% lower by 5 points at 23,752, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a lacklustre start on Friday.

On Wednesday, 26 March, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 318 points or 0.41% and settled at 77,606, while the Nifty50 traded 0.45% higher by 105 points, settling at 23,592.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 28 March.

Bharat Electronics: The company has announced securing additional orders worth Rs 1,385 crore since its last regulatory filing. The orders range from radar upgradation, electronic voting machines, radar spares, simulators, advanced land navigation systems, fire control systems for ship-based decoys, stabilisers for tanks, and communication equipment, among others.

UltraTech Cement: The company has announced the commissioning of a brownfield clinker capacity of 3.35 million tonnes per annum at its Maihar, Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, the company has also commissioned the brownfield expansion of the grinding unit at Dhule, Maharashtra, with a capacity of 1.2 mtpa.

BEML: The company has announced securing orders worth Rs 405 crore from Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited for designing, manufacturing, supplying, instaling, testing, and commissioning Standard Gauge Metro Cars. 

Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services: The Board of Directors of the company has approved acquiring a 45.33% stake in Effiasoft from current shareholders Koushik Shee and Akula Krishna Rao for a total consideration of Rs 36.72 crore. 

Jindal Steel: The company has announced its emergence as the successful bidder for the Saradhapur Jaltap East coal block, which has a total geological resource of 3,257 million tonnes. The Saradhapur Jaltap East coal block is located 11 Km away from the Angul steel plant. 

Force Motors: The company has announced a contract with the Indian Defence Forces to supply 2,978 GS 4X4 800 kg soft-top Force Gurkha light vehicles. 

Asian Paints: The subsidiary of the company, Asian Paints (Polymers) Private Limited, has announced its plans to set up a manufacturing facility for Vinyl Acetate Monomer and Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion, along with an Ethylene storage and handling facility in Gujarat for a total consideration of Rs 2,560 crore.
