Star Health and Allied Insurance, during 2015-16, reported a premium growth of 36 percent to Rs 2,000 crore.
During 2014-15, the first standalone health insurance company had clocked Rs 1,470 crore worth of premium.
It said in a statement that “Star Health Insurance has crossed Gross Written Premium target of Rs 2,000 crore for 2015-16, registering a growth rate of more than 36 per cent for the year.”
As per the insurance company, in last fiscal, the new business premium stood at Rs 500 crore.
