On October 21, personal hygiene company Soothe Healthcare raised Rs 175 crore in new funding round, of which the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has invested Rs 55 crore. The company raised the remaining Rs 120 crore from existing investors, including A91, Symphony, Sixth Sense and Gulf Islamic Investment (GII).

The personal hygiene brand said in a statement that it would use the new funding to further expand its distribution channels and expand its female presence in second-and third-tier markets. Soothe Healthcare, maker of Paree sanitary pads, said the funding will be used for brand marketing and raising awareness about menstrual hygiene among women.

Founded in 2013 by Sahil Dharia, Soothe Healthcare manufactures, distributes and sells personal hygiene products under its flagship brand Paree sanitary pads. In October 2020, the company expanded into baby diapers with the launch of its brand Super Cute’s. In early 2021, the brand raised Rs 230 crore in a Series C round led by Incred, backed by GII, Northern Arc and KKR, with participation from A91 Partners.
