Twitter offers a tab where local events and news are picked, allowing users to keep track of the events. Facebook has created a Tokyo Olympic Center, which will enable users to keep track of all the events and updates of the Olympics. Users can know the new games introduced this time like- skateboarding, surfing, karate and sport climbing on the newly added section.

Instagram has added an augmented reality (AR) filter. Like the other filters, users can test the filter and can even earn AR badges that will appear after making the same moves.
