Siemens, one of the leading producers of technologies in power generation; power transmission and distribution solutions, reported their standalone net profit for the July-September quarter with a 55 per cent decline to Rs 279.2 crores. The company had earlier registered a net profit of Rs 623.8 crore during the same period, on the back of an exceptional gain of Rs 560.3 crores, a year ago.
According to the company’s BSE filing, the total revenue during the said quarter rose to Rs 4,015.6 crores as against Rs 3,204.8 crores in the same quarter a year ago. The company’s expenses during the September-end quarter grew to Rs 3,576.4 crores, versus Rs 2,877.1 crores in the September quarter of 2017.
The company which follows October-September financial year stated: “For the fourth quarter of the financial year 2018, new orders grew by 38.1 per cent to Rs 3,720 crore compared to Rs 2,694 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2017. The revenue reported for the quarter is Rs 3,802 crore, 24.9 per cent growth compared to the fourth quarter of the financial year 2017.”
Siemens Ltd also announced that the Board of Directors of the Company has recommended a dividend of Rs. 7/- per Equity Share of Rs. 2/- each (350%) for the Financial Year ended 30th September 2018. The Dividend would be paid from 11th February 2019.
