Sembcorp Energy India Ltd (SEIL) has bagged a 300-megawatt project, in the wind power auction conducted recently.
As per a company statement, this is the 3rd consecutive win for the subsidiaries of Sembcorp Green Infra, a wholly owned arm of SEIL. Post this order, SEIL has received a combined capacity of 800 MW from the 3 auctions.
The wind power auction was conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). SECI has given confirmation in a letter of award, to SEIL’s final order and has committed to purchase power from the new project.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the project will be set up in Gujarat. Post completion, the entire power output will be sold to SECI under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
