On Monday, Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd (JFL) announced that Sameer Khetarpal has joined as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD). The company has informed that shareholders had approved Khetarpal’s appointment in the company’s 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which convened on August 30, 2022.

Succeeding Pratik Pota, Khetarpal is likely to serve for five years. In his 25-years of career, he has served in various senior leadership roles in the e-commerce and management consulting sectors. Before this, he was working with Amazon. At Amazon, he conceptualised, launched and scaled several businesses like Amazon Food, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon Pharmacy.

Founded in 1995, JFL holds the master franchise for Domino’s Pizza, Popeyes, and Dunkin’ Donuts in India. Headquartered in Noida, JFL operates two homegrown restaurant brands Ekdum! and Hong’s Kitchen.
Before Amazon, he had worked with McKinsey and Company, GE Capital and Hindustan Unilever, where he was involved in business building and transformation.
