On Monday, Rajesh Exports Ltd said that it has bought Valcambi, which is the largest gold refining company in the world, in an all-cash deal worth USD 400 million.
The company said that the deal will help it to secure raw material supplies and will add to earnings per share.
India, with an annual demand hovering around 900 tonnes per year, is the world’s biggest consumer of gold.
