RailTel Corporation of India has announced that it has bagged an order worth Rs 700 crore from Pimpri Chinchwad Smart City Limited (PCSCL) to provide end-to-end services for the monetisation of PCSCL city Network Infrastructure on a revenue-sharing model.
The company has posted a strong June quarter for the current fiscal year with a 49.36% increase in its net profit at Rs 37.46 crore against the Rs 25.08 crore the company reported in the Q1 of the previous fiscal year.
The standalone operating revenue for the company saw a 25% increase at Rs 463.46 crore against the Rs 370.46 crore it reported in the year-ago quarter.
Before this order, the company received an order worth Rs 78.58 crore from the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) to procure cloud infrastructure for the Next Generation Passenger Reservation System (PRS) of Indian Railways on 2 August.
Shares of RailTel Corporation reached a new 52-week high of Rs 182.90 during the early morning trade on 8 August.
