Punjab National Bank has reported a 11.06% rise in net profit at Rs.230.11 crore for the quarter ended December 31,2017.
Last year, in the same quarter it had reported a net profit of Rs.207.18 crore. Total income of the bank increased by 8.02% to Rs.15,257.50 crore for the December quarter, from Rs.14,123.98 crore in the same quarter, last fiscal.
PNB’s gross non-performing assets (NPAs) or bad loans as a percentage to total advances, came down to 12.11% from 13.70% in the same quarter of last fiscal. Net NPAs came down to 7.55% from 9.09%.
